“From the very start Samtext standardized on Déjà Vu, and it is being used by all our offices and 24 employees. Even when clients send us files that have been prepared in other CAT tools like Trados, we do the actual work in Déjà Vu and then return it in Trados format. We are very happy with the technical support that Atril has always given to us. I personally have called down several times to get urgent help with files that for some reason cannot be imported or exported, and it has always been solved within a very short time ‐ free of charge!

As a freelance translator I’ve worked with Déjà Vu since the nineties. At that time, the ainterface was revolutionary and it was love at first sight. Now, almost 20 years later, Déjà Vu is still my favorite CAT tool, especially thanks to features such as DeepMiner, AutoWrite and the project-specific lexicon. However, to my humble opinion the best feature of all is an oldie: creating a new TM based on several TM’s and delete duplicates. No pollution, thanks, Atril guys!

Déjà Vu is easy to use. All file formats look the same in the Déjà Vu project view, which lets you focus on your translation work without having to get to know all the features of the software the original texts were created in. The terminology functions are much more convenient (making new entries directly from the project view, etc.). Thanks to the ease of use of the terminology database and the export options, we were able to implement a long‐ planned project, i.e., the creation of a corporate dictionary for use by all our colleagues.

I became a Déjà Vu user in early 2015. I had tried several other CAT tools before, but DV spoke to my heart as well as my head. I have found that DVX3 is easy to use and learn about, and a comprehensively designed tool in line with what is required from a 21st-century translator. ” With DVX3 I can easily import and manage files from other CAT tools, for instance Trados. It is possible to translate SDL Studio packages (.sdlppx files) using DVX3 and SDLXLIFF files can be seamlessly imported and exported like any other file.
